Y'all won't mind if I indulge my creative side for a bit, right?  Right.  (I'm imagining all your online heads nodding in agreement.)

Comfort. Security. Love.

Y'all need an update on Trooper, don't you?  Well, he's fine overall.  No flesh-eating bacteria.  I mean, obviously I do have photos and video to share, but it will have to wait.

Joel woke up to a sore throat and had a headache yesterday.  I hope he's not on his way to having the flu.  (Yuck!)

Spin class was less than stellar today, simply because of the music.  The instructor picked a cd that I hadn't heard in over a year, and the last time I heard it, I almost boycotted the class.  It had three, count it, three, country songs on the CD.  Country songs do not belong in a spin class.  At least not in my spin class.  Now don't get me wrong -- deep inside, there is a Texas girl in my heart, but that Texas girl has to have her cowgirl boots on and be riding horses regularly to really appreciate country music.  When I am trying to keep up my rpms and focus on speed and power, riding a lovetraiiiiiiiiinnnnnnn does nothing for me in the morning, because me and my git-tar do not have a lot of leavin left to do.

I thought this little Boston Terrier sticking his head out the side window of his owner's truck was humorous.  Boston Terrier, right?  I don't know my small dog breeds as well.

Hey, I thought it was cute.

One of my creations at the (not yet)in-laws with Little Guy and Grandma

You must know by now that when I disappear off the face of the earth for five days, I am collecting and preparing content.  And if that's what you've guessed, then right you'd be.

While you're waiting, though, Cosette wanted to say hi:

WHO'S A PRETTY GIRL?!?

This is the light fixture in the lobby of the hotel we were staying at for half the week.  I hadn't noticed it until the last day we were there, so as soon as I saw it I snapped a quick shot.  Gorgeous, right?!

This afternoon we took Little Guy to spend some time at his grandparents' house.  Lo and behold, grandma bought LG an adorable pair of...wait, can you handle it?

Wait for it.

Wait for it.

Blue, SpongeBob SquarePants (who lives in a pineapple under the sea) adorned, CROCS.

I'll let you absorb that one for a little while.

I was going to take a picture, but my camera grabbed its little neck and started gasping for air and then flopped over on the couch.  Who knew my camera could self-asphyxiate?

Early last night, I started to dream wildly about playing with fireworks in my driveway.  I was dreaming that a bunch of our mutual friends were over and playing with sparklers and bottle rockets in the sweet summer air.  As I walked across my driveway, I realized that my friends had placed firecrackers under my path, and they were snapping as I walked on them.  At first they were just little sparks, but then they began to increase in ferociousness and noise as I was stepping on them, and then I must have unknowingly stepped on a large one, because it went SNAP!  CRACKLE!  BOOM! and I jumped above it and exclaimed, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

and Joel said, "WHAT?!"

Check THAT out.  My dreams have the power to wake BOTH of us up.
